War and Peace

This poem was written by our 10 year old niece after visiting a second world war cemetery. Simply beautiful and so perceptive.

After you’ve died
You’re gone,
You’ve lived,
And now you’ve died.
How many tears,
That I have cried,
After you’ve gone,
After you died.

A pretty memory,
A smiling face,
A broken link,
We cannot replace.
You were brave,
My tears must cease,
You live on now,
In perfect peace
