CARTOON OF THE DAY: A bit too close to the mark

David Cameron’s visit to Egypt conjures up many feelings when bullets are flying around the Middle East, causing blood, sweat and tears, many of which provided by diplomatic trips by previous Prime Ministers.

The west’s credibility in the shadow of the Iraq war and USA’s unwavering support for Israel’s settlement program shows how disingenuous the west is seen.

We talk about democracy, but we think far more about regional and economic interests.  See previous post https://extranea.wordpress.com/2011/02/10/the-dilemma-of-democracy/

Sadly, I think this cartoon commentary hits the mark too well.  Should we all feel ashamed?
